Our Ray of Sunshine

We would like to share with you our new addition, Owen Nicholas Petska. He came into this world on Friday afternoon at 12:19 pm. He weighed in at 8lbs 14oz and is 21 inches long. He is absolutely precious and we are enjoying all of the newborn moments (even the crying and sleepless nights) that are so new to Rich and me. We know B is loving him from afar and might be disappointed that we didn't name him Diego (his only name choice).

Owen's arrival came one day after heaven welcomed Rich's Grandpa Stevens. We know B is enjoying all of the neat stories Grandpa has to share with him especially all of his firetruck stories.

Please continue to hold us all in prayer,
Steph and Rich

That old saying "The angels danced the day you were born" sure rang true on May 29th. I can just imagine Braden and his Great Grandpa doing a celebratory jig as Baby Owen entered the world. I know you're cherishing every moment, even the not so fun ones. Hope to see you all very soon. All my love...Carla

Steph & Rich,
Owen is beautiful! I am sure you are feeling emotions of happiness mixed with sadness with all you have going on right now. And of course there is the lack of sleep that leaves you a little fuzzy! It does get easier, I am learning, and hoping you are enjoying being at home already and learning to adjust to having a healthy baby. It hit me like a ton of bricks when Chase was about 4 days old that this is what it was suppose to be like the first time around. Oh, and all the emotions to go along with that...
Enjoy these early days of bonding and hope to see you soon!

Love & Hugs!

Congratulations on the birth of Owen. What a gorgeous little boy. Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry to hear of the loss of Rich's Grandpa but how comforting to know that Braden and his Great Grandpa have each other to enjoy this wonderful blessing together. Looking forward to seeing more pictures. Congrats again. Love, Amy Vosters and Family

What a beautiful baby boy! I am so happy for both of you! I am still thinking of you all everyday and even more so as your due date neared. So glad to hear that things are going well and continue to even through the rougher of times too. I'm sure Braden is overjoyed to be a big brother and will watch over him from heaven. Steph and Rich - We are so happy to hear about the birth of your healthy baby boy! Owen is beautiful. We pray that the joy he brings you eases the loss of Braden. When Seamus arrived, I often compared how different it was to have a heart healthy child and thought a lot about how it was when Liam was a baby. When I would change or bathe him, I found it strange he didn't have a scar...not sure why I had all these thoughts. So, I can only imagine the emotions you must feel with all you have been through. We think of all of you often and continue to pray for your strength. We will pray for long sleep stretches too!:)
