One step back today....
We got a phone call this morning that Braden had to be re-intubated. His upper right lobe of his lung was collapsed all day yesterday and they tried like hell to get it to open up. They had to turn him on his left side for most of the day yesterday and then that lung decided to konk out. Re-intubation is the only thing right now to get those lungs to inflate. They are planning to extubate again tomorrow.....hopefully those little lungs of his will cooperate a little better. We'll keep you posted on how things go today. He also had a little oozing out of his incision....they are keeping an eye on it. They're giving him some antibiotics just in case there may be an infection.
Please keep us in your prayers today as our little fighter needs some extra support.

oh no, sorry to hear he had a set back. Praying right now that reintubation is the extent of his steps backward. Sending all our love....Carla
P.S. your mom sent pics this morning, he's absolutely beautiful! I couldn't get over his size....he takes after his Erickson cousins ;)
We are sorry to hear of Braden's step back today. Keep your faith, it has gotten you three this far. We will certainly pray for him today and for both of you, as always.

Sorry to hear that he had a set back; but he is a fighter and just needed some rest. There are too many prayers his way to let this keep him down. We are so excited that you finally got to hold him - that had to be the most joyous of moments this month for you guys.
