Happy 4th Birthday B!

Happy Birthday to a very special little boy! We miss you more than you'll ever know!

Love you B-man,
Mama, Dada, and Owen

I just wanted to make a quick note to say that once again we had another successful golf outing. Thank you to everyone who supported us and contributed to the charity! We definitely felt B's presence and spirit as we celebrated his life, honored the kiddos who live every day with CHD, and remembered those who have left us all too soon. We wanted share with you a montage created for our outing...please see it in the post below.

Thanks for checking in with us!
Steph

Happy Birthday B! Tears of HOPE and Tears of Sadness stream down my face. Having 2 little boys with heart conditions... one 3 years old and one 22 months old- it is hard for me to think of the "what ifs".

I think of you guys often and pray for your family. I talk about your charity all the time. You touched my life with a care bag before I even knew your family. I remember the day I was sitting in the hospital- not more than a dollar on me... been there a while and was given your care package. WOW! Tears.... Tears.... Braden's heart is touching more people than you ever could imagine.

To a human's eye you only had 1/2 a heart... but to God's eye your heart was WHOLE. What amazing things that GOD is doing with his ANGEL Braden.

Steph and Rich -

We had a great time at the event last weekend. Brian is so excited about the TV! It's huge. I admire and respect you guys for the contributions you continue to make to the heart community.

I can only imagine what a tough day today must be for all of you and your families. I hope you feel Braden's presence with you today.

I continue to pray and think of all of you often.

Another bittersweet day. I don't know how you do this! Blowing kisses up to Braden today. I know he is so proud of his Momma and Daddy and little brother. You are the best family and I am so proud to know you.

Thoughts of Braden, Owen, you and Rich were on my mind all day today. For the rest of my years on this earth, I will always remember and think of B in August and again in March. August 17th always triggers the reminder that Sam's bday is 2 weeks away. As we are attempting our first kid party this year, I am reminded so often this month that one special friend is missing. I hope B shines down on us that day and decides what superhero he will be and join us in his own special way. The video is beautful that you put together for HOG, thanks for posting. You put on another wonderful event.
Heart hugs,
Love, the Slagers

Dear Petska Family,

Words fail me.

Because my cousin's son has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and his family invited my husband and I to join his Al's Run team, did I just now hear of your loss.

I took care of your wonderful baby Braden while I was a new nurse at Children's. I ran into you guys a few years later at Al's Run (I've been a slacker--I think it was 3 years ago!) and was amazed to see how wonderful you all were doing! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I can't help the tears--I'm a little hormonal, with a baby due any day--but I promise to raise my son with as much love as you gave Braden.

God Bless,

~Monica and Matt Koch

Steph and Rich,

Sorry this is so incredibly late...Braden has to be so unbelievably proud of his mommy and daddy and of course his little brother Owen...Your event was an amazing tribute to his LIFE. I hope you find some peace everyday knowing you did everything you possibly could for Braden and he knew he was loved...day by day our children give us strength we never knew we had.

Love you guys!
