Happy Thanksgiving

Hello,
We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We thank God everyday for blessing us with our precious Braden. We thank Him for keeping a safe watch over Braden these past few months while he was at home us, "beefing" up for his next surgery. We thank Him for continuing to bless us with so many wonderful people in our lives. Family and friends have comforted us in so many ways. You have all helped us maintain our strength through some of the roughest roads traveled. We will lean on you again as we face this next challenge with our son.

Please pray that God continues to grant CHW's medical staff the wisdom and knowledge they will need to take good care of Braden in the weeks (hopefully only 1-2 this time) ahead. We ask Him to grace us with his presence before, during, and after Braden's surgery.

At this time, we would also like to wish the VanLandShoot and Trombly families a big congratulations on their beautiful new addition, Jacob James! We pray that all is well Jacob and that you return home soon to enjoy your precious baby boy.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Love,
The Petska's
PS....here's a pic of Braden with his O2 Cannula, lounging in his Bebe Pod chair

I was so great to talk to you the other day....I know this is sooooooooo hard for you....the moms take it the hardest too (so your completly "normal" for a HLHS mom!!) God has a speical place in his heart for these little guys...know that he will be surrounded by HIS angels for ever and always especailly durring those times when we can't hold them..... You are all already in our prayers for streangth and courage to get over this next surgery with flying colors, and I am only a phone call away....if you need to just talk about sats, and canulas and blood pressures and CVL numbers....or even better how wounderful Braden will be doing when he looks PINK again!!! We have alot to be thankful for with these specail little guys....they are miracles!!
Take care

Stephanie, and Rich,

I just read the update on Braden, and wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you and your family on a regular basis. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers on the 29th when Braden undergoes his next surgery. You're Thanksgiving message is inspirational. You really are a blessed family.
Thinking of you.

Stephanie and Rich and all your family. We are inspired by your faith. We are far away but you are all in our hearts and prayers. The heaviest praying of coursed is being sent for Braden who has been so brave and such a fighter. It makes us all think about how we take so many things for granted and therefore renews our need for gratitude. May the Angels gather on that special day Nov.29th and watch and protect that precious little baby boy and guide the proceedure smoothly and swiftly so you can have him home once again to hold and hug.
We send our love to all.
