Braden Update 6pm 8/20

Braden is making improvements in many areas. In simple terms, he is still stable, blood counts, acid counts, etc. have really turned around since we have been here. Everyone here is so nice and doing an absolutely amazing job.

Lung X-rays just came back and it looks as if there is no pnuemonia at this time...but this could still change, and as I said before that would be bad.

Being stable like he is, Steph and I are going to go home to get some much needed sleep tonight. We will keep this updated as much as possible.

Thanks again,

Steph and Rich,
Bless you both and Baby Braden. May God carry you all through this.
You have so many friends and family here to hold you up- please do lean on us.
Here are two websites for some info: and Left Hearts is a support group for parents and families with children diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome (HRHS). The first offers an impressive list of links and resources. I have heard that
Children's Hospital of Wisconsin- Milwaukee has one of the best Pediatric heart centers. Melissa says that there is a doctor there that she has observed and knows that people traveled with their lil ones from all of the US to have him operate: Dr. Twedell (tweadel). However, with all of the amazing medical centers around Chicago anywhere you go you will have some of the best doctors in the country and probably in the world!
May God be with you each.
love & prayers, Cara
